Hillary & Andrew - Engagement
07.11.2012 Having worked at the Butchart Gardens for 7 months of my life, I've been dying to shoot there. I know every nook and cranny. Having walked around the gardens a few hundred times in my life, I know exactly how and where the light falls. Finally the opportunity arrived to shoot there. Finally.
I could not have been with a better couple in the world. These two have a love for gardens rivaling my love for light. On top of that, they are more in love than you can imagine. This garden in particular is one of their favourites. This was more than just a shoot; I gave them the grand tour twice. Andrew is a National Park Ranger in Washington, and Hillary is studying horticulture, so you can imagine how perfect of a location it was for their session.
Actually, between the three of us, it was the perfect location to just have one heck of a good time. I feel like we conquered the gardens, and in the process I made two good friends. Their wedding will be in Washington next year, at one of the most spectacular location's I've only ever seen pictures of, Terrabella Wineries.
